Technical help
Most problems come down to an old page in the browser, blocked cookies or a patchy connection. These steps are worth trying in order.
Browsers
Use a current version of a mainstream browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge — and keep it updated. We do not list exact version numbers, because they change constantly.
If a page looks wrong or out of date
- Reload the page.
- Try a hard refresh, or clear the cached files for this site.
- Try a private window, which starts without cached files or extensions.
- Turn off browser extensions one at a time — ad and script blockers can stop parts of a page loading.
Connection problems
On mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi if you can, or move somewhere with a stronger signal. If a page stops part way through, reload it rather than waiting.
Text size and motion
You can zoom the page or raise your text size in your browser or device settings and the layout will reflow. If your device is set to reduce motion, transitions here are minimised automatically.
